Use the right symbols. Learn the meanings with the basic circuit symbols and judge the proper ones to work with. Some with the symbols have really close look. You need to find a way to share with the differences before applying them.

Draw connecting wires as straight lines. Use a dot to indicate line junction, or use line jumps to indicate cross lines that are not connected.
Label components including resistors and capacitors making use of their values. Make sure the text placement looks clean.
